Touch Response Assignment
"Language is steeped in metaphors of touch. We call our emotions feelings, and we care most deeply when something "touches" us. Problems can be thorny, ticklish, sticky, or need to be handled with kid gloves."(Page 56, Speaking of Touch) This Image relates to the quote because of how the woman's face in the image surrounded by different textures of leaves, flowers and insects. The texture as well as the color of the leaves, flowers, and insects compliments one another.

"Although there's no name for the ability, we can touch something and decide if it's heavy, light, gaseous, soft, hard, liquid, solid." (Page 70, The Skin Has Eyes) This quote relates to the drawing is because of how the bottles are in different sizes and shapes. The liquid in the bottles also form into the shapes of the bottles. The bottles appear to be different weights based on how much liquid is filled in them.
